From Studio Elegance to Beachside Bliss - A Stunning Maternity Session in Embree, NL

Chelsey came over to my studio in Embree for some classy, simple maternity poses, and let me tell you—I was so excited for this session! I had just bought a gorgeous fitted black dress specifically for her shoot, and it looked absolutely stunning on her.

We started off with some solo portraits of Chelsey, and she rocked every single pose. She had such a natural elegance, and the lighting really made her glow. After capturing some beautiful shots of just Chelsey, her partner joined in for a few photos. I always love when dads-to-be jump into the session—there’s something so special about capturing those sweet, intimate moments between parents as they wait to meet their little one.

Maternity sessions like this are one of my absolute favorites to photograph. There’s something so magical about capturing this exciting chapter in a family’s story—from the elegance of studio portraits to the raw beauty of outdoor shots. Chelsey and her partner were such a joy to work with, and I’m so thrilled with how their session turned out. These photos are going to be such a treasure for them as they look back on this special time!

Once we wrapped up in the studio, we decided to head out to the beach behind the Embree Lookout. It was one of those crisp, sunny winter days that feels like a gift—a little chilly, but oh-so-worth it for the gorgeous light. The golden sun reflecting off the water made the perfect backdrop for some outdoor shots. Chelsey’s black dress popped beautifully against the natural scenery.
